NAMI Walk

National Alliance on Mental Illness

Today Andy, Mason and Me walked at the NAMI walk- Denver in Cheeseman Park. What an awesome experience. Thousands of people joined together to raise money and support the organization. The total raised just for the Denver walk was aprox. $104,000. All I can say is WOW!!!! I love people joining together to support such a great cause. And one that has lots of meaning to me and my family. My heart was touched by the many groups of people that came. How much money was raised. And mostly, the outcome that comes from these walks. The National Alliance on Mental Illness provides so many services to people that are suffering from a mental illness and all of the services they offer are free due to peoples donations. Truly amazing. My wish is that people struggling with this can reach out to this organization for help. To inform yourself more on this organization or to donate please visit http://www.nami.org/

What's cookin good lookin'

As most know Andy is a chef. A great one. But something that you may not know..... He hardly ever cooks at home. His excuse is that he is always cooking and is around food all night at work, and when he's home, he just wants to relax. I see his point. Let me also mention that because of his job, he rarely eats. So when he finally does, It can sometimes resemble a hungry lion that hasn't eaten in days. I should start timing him to see how long it actually takes him to eat. I wonder who would win the lion or him?? Now I'm not really sure what has sparked my man but he has been cooking every night for the past 3 days (OK this is huge due to the fact that he's prob only cooked once or twice for me before that) First night was lobster tail with creamed spinach. Next night was a chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella cheese and spinach over noodles with a marinara sauce. And last night was homemade chimichangas. And every single dish was amazing!! It was so awesome to just be able to play with Mason and not have to worry about dinner, or any of the clean-up! Thanks babe!

Here are a few pics of Mason enjoying the stuffed chicken with noodles..... He loved daddy's cookin too!!
Hey buddy.... I think you have a little somethin' on your face.....

Evans Fam

Welcome to our new blog!!!
I am starting over our blog. New fresh start. New theme, layout, and new content!! Feels good. Well I would love to fill you on the past 3 and 1/2 years. Me and Andy met while working together at The Keg. We worked together for about 6 months saying no more then a few words to eachother. After listening to a good friends advice we finally decided to hang out and ever since that day, Nov. 26, 2005, we have been madly in love. At about our 1 year mark we discovered I was prego with our little guy Mason. He was born July 26, 2007. Ever since this day our lives have never been the same. Mason is the most amazing person I have ever met. He makes me laugh every single day and brings joy to every moment of life. We are so thankful for this little guy!!
